Damier Azur Canvas Speedy 30 Review by Tia

Today's bag review is by the lovely Tia. Thank you Tia for your detail pictures and your bag review of the Demier Azur Canvas Speedy 30.

Damier Azur Canvas Speedy 30
I bought this bag from a street vendor in Florence, Italy for 30 euros after bargaining it down from like 60 euros. All up I LOVED the colour it was heaps summery and a lot of Italian women had it so I wanted one too. It is fairly sturdy and the handles are really nice and smooth, given that I use it everyday and throw it around. I'm not sure if its really supposed to have a gold plaque on it, but given that I use it a lot it has kind of tarnished and looks a bit yuk now :( But overall I really like this bag its a good size and its surprisingly easy and comfortable to carry around.

  2. speaking of Jacky, have any of you guys seen the drama from TFS and someone sending him an authentic Chanel and him sending her back the bag with a fake hologram? WOW. I can't believe people send him authentic bags to replicate...that Chanel is over $2k!!!

  3. Hi Trish, I never brought any bags from Jacky. I was about to once, but he didn't had the bag I liked so I end up buying it from Joy.

I just read about it last night, trying to catch up on the post. I was so shocked at what happened. If I was that girl I would learn from this and never send any bags overseas from now on. She mentioned that she had a bad feeling about it and she still send out the bag. I said it in my first post to always listen to your female instinct, because you will pay for it at the end. Anyways, if I was her, I will ask Jacky to give me a $2000 store credit. It is an insult that Jacky would offer her only $300. She could use the store credit and do a combine shipping/shopping with the ladies on TFS and get her money back that way.

Another thing I don't like about that forum is the moderator told everyone to stop talking about the incident. That's BS.

  5. Craftress,

I would want $2000 back in cash for my AUTHENTIC, not a store credit. He may put that hologram on a fake and pass it off as real. I can't believe how many lies he told her. It's amazing how people love Jacky and yet when his poor business ethic comes to light both posters and moderators want to sweep it under the rug....leaving poor unsuspecting newbies clueless as to what they are getting themselves into.

Someone did make a great post about how risk is a huge part about buying and selling fakes and how blind it all is. I agree. We paypal or WU money to people who just have pics on line....we don't know what we'll get. The girl was hoping to get some great reps made from her authentic so that she could sell her authentic and keep the reps. I guess one could say she learned a lesson in greed. Either way, that board is poorly moderated, I am not a member, I just lurk. But it's okay to praise sellers yet it's not okay to put the buyer beware notice out on them. Silly.

Lets be honest. Do you think Jacky will give that girl her $2000 back in cash? I don't think so. I think the best thing to do is try to get Jacky to give her a store credit and at least she could get the money back by doing a combine ordering with the other girls, like they often do. As I see it, Jacky holds all the cards here. You are right, I hate how that forum and a lot of other forums try to hide things or cover things up. And when the same problem comes up again. Who do we blame? That is why I stay away from those forums after what happen on repchat. I am just a lurker like you, that's how I learned about replica bags.

  7. Craftress you are right, he has 100% control of the situation and I I think the most he offered her was $400. It will never be worth it to go through all that mess for a replica so exact she can fool everyone. And that site isn't as helpful as it is catty. Many of those people don't realize they are dealing in a black market.

  8. This bag is a dead giveaway that it is a replica. The Beverley has the plaque but also has corners on the bottom...not sure about the lining. I live in Germany and I see many obvious replicas and those who carry don't seem to mind. However, in the US we tend to want to be inconspicuous with our purchases and show off a replica as real. For 30Euros its a steal for those who don't care about details. The Neverfull looks much better from that vendor.

    1. Actually, even though you are correct about the speedy having basically no details, the bag you are describing that has the plaque (with added vachetta corners) is called the Berkeley, not the Beverly.

  9. Cute bag, however the gold plate and the lining are off.. The canvas and handles look good though!
